A web editing program
Well, to be honest you don't really need a web editing program; it is possible to hand code the HTML (HyperText Markup Language), but you'll have to be an expert in HTML to hand code, so for all practical purposes a web editing program is a must.
A domain name
A domain name is almost like a postal address. Your Internet "address" or domain must be unlike any other, and when you choose and register a domain it will be yours for as long as you continue to pay the yearly renewal fee.

A web template is an "empty" website with all the design elements - including the navigation bar - in place. What you have to do is simply to insert your own text and your own images, create new pages as needed, and you will have a very attractive site without any design worries at all.
A graphic editing program
A website without graphics is a bit like a bird without wings. To liven up your site, to show what you sell, and to inform about your services you will need images.
Web hosting
Once you feel that your site is ready for the world you need a web host, and just as the Internet is without boundaries so are web hosting.
Meta tags

A submission tool
When you are happy with the design and content of your website, have tested all the links, and when you have inserted all the Meta tags you need, then it's time to submit your site to the search engines.
